Ward 4F Orthopaedic is a designated elective ward situated on the 4th floor in the green zone of Whiston Hospital.
It specialises in the care of patients who are undergoing joint replacement surgery which includes hip and knee replacements as well as other planned upper and lower limb orthopaedic procedures.
Surgery is undertaken seven days a week.
The ward consists of 8 beds and 13 cubicles.

As such, you will be given appointments by the ward staff to attend the joint replacement dressing clinic, which is based in fracture clinic, and the ward telephone number and advised to contact the ward should you have any concerns.
