Family Hubs
Interested in finding out how Family Hubs can support you during your pregnancy and when your baby is born?
Here's a little more information about the Family Hubs:
Family Hubs are for families with babies, children and young people from birth until they reach the age of 19 (or up to 25 for young people with special educational needs and disabilities).
Family Hubs are a one stop shop for everything you need to know about bringing up a child in St Helens, Knowsley and Halton. The Hubs are welcoming, friendly and safe places for families where parents/ carers and their children can go to access support, information and services in one place.
Family Hubs are run by trained professionals who are there to help families in a variety of ways, such as providing advice on parenting, connecting families with other services in the community, and helping families access benefits and financial assistance.
Family Hubs offer:
- Early education
- Family friendly support and advice on pregnancy, child development and family health
- Antenatal Classes
- A seasonal timetable of activities for children
- Parenting programmes
- Speech and language support
- Volunteering Opportunities
- Help with access to employment - support with work or training
- Half term holiday activities and food programme
The Hubs focus on investing in babies' emotional wellbeing and development in the first 1001 days - which includes pregnancy and the first two years of a child's life. They further support your child thereafter as Family Hubs focus on school readiness, nurture, speech, language and communication.
