Our Wards - Whiston Hospital - Ward 4C - Colorectal Surgery (Bowel surgery)

Overview

Ward 4C is a 33 bedded general surgical ward, specialising in colorectal (bowel surgery). We also, at times care for patients with other surgical issues, including orthopaedic, gynaecology and plastics, and patients with medical problems. The ward consists of 4 x 4 bedded bays and 17 cubicles.

On 4C we adopt a team nursing approach to patient care, this style enables patients to receive continuity in care and allows you to build up a relationship and trust for the nursing staff caring for you.

The nursing staff work closely with other members of the multi-disciplinary team including nurse specialists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and the pain team. Utilising these other members ensures that patients and relatives on 4C receive the highest possible standard of care.

The nursing team on 4C are highly skilled, friendly and dedicated to providing high quality care to patients and families.
