About the service
The Tissue Viability service is a nurse led service providing specialist advice and care to patients with or at risk of developing wounds/pressure ulcers.
The service also provides education for patients, carers, and staff around pressure ulcers and wounds.
The service is to aid and support all healthcare professionals who are involved in the management of: complex wounds, chronic and non-healing wounds.
Provide equipment to patients with wound care needs.
The service runs Monday- Friday 9-5pm excluding Bank Holidays .The team provides specialist Tissue Viability knowledge and support to Whiston and St.Helens Hospital, and Newton Hospital.
If you require a Tissue Viabilty Assessment, the ward will refer to the team.
