Overview/Background:

Dr Hill trained as an undergraduate and postgraduate in the Mersey region, joining the Trust as a consultant geriatrician and stroke physician in 2013. In 2014 he became clinical lead for the Stroke service, which is the largest specialist stroke unit in Cheshire and Mersey, and provides hyperacute stroke services across the Mid-Mersey region. Since 2018, he has been a member of the Intercollegiate Stroke Working Party: the specialist advisory group advising on UK stroke care clinical guidelines and policy for England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

In 2020 he was appointed as the Trust’s Chief Clinical Informatics Officer, leading on the Trust’s ambitious Digital Aspirant Programme to deploy an electronic record for the Trust and improve our digital maturity.
