Overview/Background:

Tennyson Idama has been a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist since 2000 following higher specialist training in Yorkshire Deanery. He has been Clinical Director since 2009. He has broad and extensive experience in all aspects of general Obstetrics and gynaecology.

Tennyson has a special clinical interest and particular expertise in Vaginal surgery, Advanced Pelvic Floor Surgery and Minimal Access Gynaecological Surgery.

Since taking up appointment as Consultant, Tennyson has undertaken various visible and active leadership roles within the Directorate and organisation. He has demonstrated sustained commitment to patient-centred care and led continuous improvement in service organisation and delivery.

Tennyson has an interest in Clinical leadership, Patient experience, Clinical Risk Management & Patient safety and Mentorship. He has maintained an active clinical research interest.

MBBS, FRCOG
