Overview/Background:
Mr Emms underwent Basic Surgical training in Mersey And Cheshire. He completed the highly sort after “Cavendish Hip Fellowship” in Sheffield from 2006 to 2008. He joined STHK in 2008. He has since developed the STHK Arthroplasty team. He is specialised in the Primary and Revision Arthroplasty of the Hip and Knee. He takes internal referrals and tertiary referrals from outside our area including the Isle of Man. He has published many research articles in his area of expertise. He is a founder member of the Mersey and Cheshire revision Arthroplasty network. He became the Clinical Director of the Orthopaedic Department in 2020.
