Overview/Background:
Ms Stewart joined STHK in Jan 2016 as a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology having completed her speciality training in Merseyside.
She provides a wide range of gynaecology services with a particular interest in menopause care and is currently completing advanced practice training to allow for speciality register status with the BMS. She also provides management of menstrual disorders, fibroids, pelvic pain, ovarian cysts, PCOS and management of PMS/PMDD. She has an interest in hysteroscopic management of menstrual disorders and postmenopausal bleeding, and is trained in laparoscopic surgery, including total laparoscopic hysterectomy.
Ms Stewart provides a shared antenatal clinic with Ms Boyes with a focus on bariatric pregnancy care, working closely with the anaesthetic department to provide effective and safe care in pregnancy, during birth and postnatally.
She undertakes regular risk reviews as an external obstetrician for other trusts and is an appraiser for medical staff within the Trust. She is also the Lead for Audit within the department.
