Overview/Background:

Miss C Hicks started working as a Consultant Obstetrician Gynaecologist at STHK NHS Trust since May 2023. She qualified as a doctor from Liverpool University in 2006 and went on to complete her training in O and G in the North West Deanery. Being awarded her certificate of completion of training in 2023. She was awarded her membership to the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2014.

Within gynaecology she runs a general gynae clinic, has an operative list for day case gynaecological procedures. Specialist interest in early pregnancy including problems such as miscarriage and ectopic pregnancies. She runs early pregnancy scanning clinics allowing diagnosis and management of early pregnancy problems.

Within Obstetrics Miss Hicks has advanced training in the management of delivery suite, providing all aspects of intrapartum care and management. She has a regular elective Caesarean section list and provides a resident on call service. She runs an antenatal clinic specialising the NBAC (next birth after Caesarean) which works hard to ensure that women with a previous section are supported in making the best choice for them during the next pregnancy and delivery.
