Overview/Background:

Miss Cording joined the trust as Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in May ' 2010 having completed training in the Mersey Deanery. She was entered onto the specialist register in 2009 having been awarded Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2006; she was elevated to Fellowship of the Royal College in 2019.

Miss Cording provides treatment for a wide range of benign gynaecological disorders including menstrual disorders, fibroids, pelvic pain, ovarian cysts, urogynaecological issues such as prolapse and incontinence, menopausal concerns. She is lead clinician for outpatient hysteroscopic services, providing and developing a one-stop see and treat service for menstrual disorders and postmenopausal bleeding in a dedicated clinical area.

Obstetrically, Miss Cording has a general antenatal clinic and is lead Obstetrician for perinatal mental health: she has a dedicated antenatal clinic which she runs alongside a specialist perinatal mental health midwife, liaising closely with secondary care mental health providers to provide joint antenatal, birth and postnatal planning.

She has a longstanding interest in patient safety and is an appraiser for medical staff within the Trust.
