Overview/Background:

Mr Tim Kundodyiwa is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at STHK NHS Trust since June 2009 and takes active leadership roles in Gynaecology Oncology and Colposcopy, and is the Cervical Screening Provider Lead for the Trust. He has expertise in minimally invasive gynaecologic  surgery (advanced laparoscopy and hysteroscopy). His post graduate training working in  very busy teaching maternity hospitals helped to develop his Obstetrics and Gynaecology surgical expertise.

Since completing his specialist training and being awarded certificate of specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the North West Mersey Deanery in 2008 and joining STHK in 2009, he introduced and continues to support and train/supervise colleagues in minimally invasive gyriaecologic surgery at Whiston hospital. He is actively involved in the multi-disciplinary structured programme of training and education for medical, nursing staff and undergraduate students. He plays a role in postgraduate examinations at the RCOG and serves a part 3 MRCOG clinical examiner.

He is an accredited Colposcopist and trainer for the BSCCP trainee colposcopists. He regularly convenes the in-house Laparoscopy Training Day at Whiston Hospital for both Surgical and Gynaecological Specialist Trainees jointly with General and Colorectal surgeons.
