Overview/Background:

Miss Z Boyes is a Consultant Obstetrician Gynaecologist at STHK NHS Trust since January 2018.  She completed her training in O&G in the North West Deanery and was awarded her certificate of completion of training in 2017. She was awarded her membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2013.

Within gynaecology, she offers treatment for a wide range of benign gynaecological disorders including menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, ovarian cysts, fibroids and has a specialist interest in endometriosis. Miss Boyes is experienced in laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery as well as open abdominal and vaginal procedures. She offers multidisciplinary care for the management of endometriosis with Colorectal, Urology and Pain Specialist colleagues. She also provides an outpatient hysteroscopy service, providing ‘one stop’ diagnosis and treatment of menstrual disorders and post-menopausal bleeding. Miss Boyes strongly believes in personalised care and empowers her patients to have choice and control when making decisions about their treatment options.

Within Obstetrics, Miss Boyes provides an antenatal clinic for high risk pregnant women and leads the specialist NBAC (next birth after caesarean section) clinic at Whiston hospital. Miss Boyes has advanced training in the management of Delivery Suite and manages complications that arise before, during and after childbirth. She also performs a regular operating list for caesarean sections. She is very supportive of ‘women's choice’ in pregnancy and childbirth whilst promoting safety for Mother and baby.
