Formerly St Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust

Trust shortlisted for two HSJ Awards

The Trust has been shortlisted for two HSJ Partnership Awards, Best Elective Care Recovery Initiative and Most Effective Contribution to Clinical Redesign.

For the category 'Best Elective Care Recovery Initiative', the award entry focused on reducing waiting times for those patients whose care was unavoidably delayed due to the pandemic - putting patients in the right place, with the right team, at the right time.

In partnership with Warrington and Halton Hospitals, Liverpool University Hospitals and Attain UK, the largest independent health advisory and delivery organisation in the UK, the Trust has used artificial intelligence systems to review patient lists, ensuring those in need of the most urgent care are prioritised and surgical lists are effectively managed.

For the category 'Most Effective Contribution to Clinical Redesign', the Trust shared its work with Refero, using video technology to conduct patient consultations, ensuring continuation of care and safety of patients during the pandemic.

Congratulations and good luck to all involved.

The ceremony will be held in March.
