Consultant Urological Surgeon

Overview/Background:

Mr Ahmad Omar is a Consultant Urological Surgeon. He has particular special interests in female, reconstructive urology and management of urinary incontinence. He runs a weekly specialist female and pelvic floor clinic, receiving specialized referral from other consultants and GPs. He is also a core member of the regional pelvic floor MDT representing urology at Whiston.

Mr Omar is the clinical lead on urodynamic investigation of lower urinary tract dysfunction. He is also the lead on intra-vesical Botox treatment for storage bladder symptoms.

Jointly with plastic surgeon, Mr Omar established a unique tertiary referral service of uro-plastic MDT. This is dealing with management of complex genital abnormality like buried penis and penile lymphedema.

Prior to his appointment as a consultant, Mr Omar has undergone subspecialist training in reconstructive urological surgery at the world renowned urology centre in Mansoura.
